Outreach

What does the Bible say about serving and putting our Faith into Action?
Through serving, we glorify God, build up the Church body and reach out to others.  Here at Peace Community Church, we believe that service is absolutely necessary - the church body needs everybody's help!  As Christians, we are directed to serve (1 Peter 4:10) and this is one of the ways we worship God (1 Peter 4:11, Romans 12:1).  When each one of us does our part and uses our God-given gifts, we help to build up the local church and the larger Christian community (Eph. 4:12, Eph. 4:16).  We want to help you to be fruitful and fulfilled in a meaningful place of service.  Our desire is that every Christian at PCC engage in the work of Christ according to the gifts and passions given them by the Holy Spirit.

"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms."
Peter 4:10
"...to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up..."

Ephesians 4:12

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian nonprofit hunger relief organization that provides food to help communities in developing countries become self-sustaining. In 2010, more than 515,000 volunteers joined FMSC to package more than 124 million meals for hungry children around the world. As a Mobile Pack Host, Peace has committed to raising the funds needed to produce 25,000 meals. $36 can feed 5 children for one month, $65 can feed a child for one school year, $240 can provide 1,000 meals and $1,620 can feed 25 students for one year.
